Faculty Resources at the Library: Library Contact List

This guide provides an overview of Mt.SAC Library services and resources for faculty.

Information Competency

Library faculty provide information competency instruction to introduce your students to current resources, research strategies, and evaluation techniques.

You can schedule library research and information competency instruction for your classes, tailored to your assignments, and taught during class to reach all students. Fill out this online form to begin the process of working with your Librarian Liaison on research and information competency instruction for your classes!

If you would like your students to have library research learning experiences outside of your class time, we offer a series of drop-in workshops F2F or in Zoom. Most of our drop-in workshops are also offered asynchronously via Canvas

We also offer LIBR credit classes, which are UC and CSU transferrable. Consider linking with us!

Librarian Liaison for Collection Development, Instruction, and More!

Each campus department is assigned a librarian liaison. To find out which librarian is your department liaison, take a look at the Liaison List.

Liaisons can work with you to ensure the library has materials needed to support your curriculum or program, provide information competency instruction tailored to your class/program needs, help develop research assignments and research experiences, and much more!
