This is the full-text of the California Code, but it does not include any annotations. You can search here to identify relevant sections (search terms are highlighted within the text) and then go to the West's Annotated California Codes to find additional notes and interpretation.

Legal Information Institute is easier and more user friendlly. Start there and turn to FindLaw as a last resort.

The Judicial Council adopted theses instructions for criminal juries on August 26, 2005 to be effective January 1, 2006. On the same date the Judicial Council withdrew its endorsement of CALJIC by repealing Judicial Administration Standard 5. Use of these instructions is subject to rule (2.1050(e).) of the California Rules of Court.
