This guide provides resources and tools for faculty wishing to implement open educational resources (OER) in their courses.

Self-Paced Canvas Courses with Possible PGI

The LIEAL Team is currently offering two self-paced Canvas courses: 

 OER with LIEAL

This activity is approved for up to 5.0 hours toward Professional Growth Increment (PGI) and Professional Growth Hourly (PGH) credit by Salary and Leaves. Faculty may claim PGI (Full Time Faulty), PGH (Adjunct Faculty), or FLEX credit for this activity. The non-teaching hourly rate shall be paid to adjunct professors completing approved on-campus professional growth workshops up to a limit of six (6) hours per fiscal year.

  • Open For Antiracism (OFAR) with LIEAL. This 5-module Canvas course is designed for faculty to explore the fundamental connections between antiracism, open educational resources (OER), and open pedagogy. It guides faculty to examine issues and reflect their teaching and learning practices with the goal to empower faculty to develop and implement first steps of an antiracism action plan to transform some aspects of their teaching to be more antiracist using OER and open pedagogical approaches.

This activity is pending approval of 15.0 hours toward Professional Growth Increment (PGI) and Professional Growth Hourly (PGH) credit by Salary and Leaves.
