Both are great for quick questions like determining if the Library has a particular book or if you need guidance on how to get started on your research. We will NOT do your research for you - only guide you.
We collaborate with academic libraries to provide you round-the-clock help, so you may be chatting with a librarian at Mt. SAC or at another library. We will email you if your question needs follow up information within two business days.
For complicated or in-depth questions, we recommend interacting with a Librarian live in an online or in-person research appointment.
We can help you with choosing/narrowing your topic, finding online books and articles, using library databases, and citing your sources. Research appointments are up to 30 minutes in length. You will be reminded one day in advance of your appointment.
