Both are great for quick questions like determining if the Library has a particular book or if you need guidance on how to get started on your research. We will NOT do your research for you - only guide you.
We collaborate with academic libraries to provide you round-the-clock help, so you may be chatting with a librarian at Mt. SAC or at another library. We will email you if your question needs follow up information within two business days.
For complicated or in-depth questions, we recommend interacting with a Librarian live in an online 30-minute Research Appointment (via Zoom).
Consider taking one of our 75-minute Library Research Workshop to improve your researching skills -- live in-person at the Library and over Zoom, and self-paced in Canvas.
